Our Story
Play is essential for the development and well-being of a child. The playground is the perfect setting for children of all ages and stages to come together. It encourages them to be creative and imaginative. Through play children form friendships, learn to compromise and collaborate with one another among other things. It allows for them to use and improve communication skills as well as learn social skills…but this can only be put in practice if they have a voice in the playgrounds.
Giving children a voice in our parks and playgrounds provides a way for them to integrate and communicate with peers, friends and the world around them while building confidence and encouraging independence. Every child deserves a voice.
These boards will also create awareness by opening the opportunity for those conversations with neuro-typical families that make use of these playgrounds while school is out; breaking stigmas and leading to acceptance and decreasing bullying.
We are humbled and honored for the opportunity to serve our community. I hope that we can count on you to show A Voice For All Foundation love and support as we venture into an amazing journey of advocating for the children and individuals with exceptional needs in our communities.
